Serengeti National Park is home to the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceroses. Game drives in the park offer excellent opportunities to spot these iconic species, along with other predators such as cheetahs, hyenas, and wild dogs. The vast grasslands of the Serengeti are synonymous with the African safari experience. The sweeping plains provide an ideal habitat for herbivores such as wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, and more.

This itinerary offers a balanced mix of game drives, wildlife viewing opportunities, and relaxation, allowing you to experience the best of the Serengeti in a limited time frame. Adjustments can be made based on your preferences, the time of year, and specific wildlife sightings you hope to encounter. Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival and Central Serengeti

Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will take the flight to Serengeti National Park through Seronera Airstrip (if flying in) or the park entrance by vehicle. Meet your safari guide and transfer to your chosen accommodation.

Enjoy a game drive in the central Serengeti. This area is known for its abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and various antelope species. Look out for the resident predators and the famous “big cats” of the Serengeti. In the evening, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Relax by the campfire and share stories of the day’s sightings.

Day 2 Serengeti Plains and Migration

Embark on an early morning game drive to witness the sunrise over the vast Serengeti plains. Look for nocturnal predators returning to their dens and early morning hunting activity.

Enjoy a bush breakfast in the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African savannah. Continue your game drive, focusing on the areas where the Great Migration herds are likely to be found. Depending on the season, you may encounter wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores moving for water and grazing.

Return to your accommodation for lunch and a siesta during the hottest part of the day. After lunch and a short break, head out for another game drive, exploring different parts of the park or focusing on specific wildlife sightings you wish to see. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge or camp. Reflect on the day’s experiences and marvel at the beauty of the Serengeti landscape under the starlit sky.

Day 3 Northern Serengeti and Departure

Depart early for a game drive in the northern Serengeti, known for its river crossings during the Great Migration season (typically between July and October). Witness the drama of wildebeest and zebra herds crossing crocodile-infested rivers in their quest for greener pastures. Have a picnic breakfast at a scenic spot overlooking the river or within proximity to wildlife activity.

Book Now more of the northern Serengeti, keeping an eye out for predators such as lions and cheetahs that follow the migrating herds.

Depending on your departure arrangements, you may opt for a final game drive en route to the park exit or transfer to the nearest airstrip for your onward flight. Bid farewell to the Serengeti as you depart for your next destination, filled with unforgettable memories of your safari adventure.
