At 6:00 a.m.; meet your guide who will transfer you to Ibyiwacu village. The cultural village is designed to resemble a traditional Rwandan village, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the local way of life. You can explore replica huts made of traditional materials, learn about household chores, and observe artisans at work.
The village features artisans who demonstrate traditional Rwandan crafts such as basket weaving, pottery making, and wood carving. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase handmade souvenirs and support local artisans. In addition to dance performances and craft demonstrations, visitors to the Iby’lwacu Cultural Village can participate in various cultural experiences. After visiting the Ibyiwacu culture village, it is time to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus. It honors the legacy of Dian Fossey, a renowned primatologist who dedicated her life to studying and protecting mountain gorillas in Rwanda.
